Distance Glasses - Reading Glasses - Driving Glasses - Sunglasses -  Computer Glasses - Premium Progressive Glasses - Bifocal Glasses - Toric and Multifocal Contact Lenses

We start with the right lenses to meet your needs.

Sometimes one pair of spectacles will do it all, but often one of your tasks or hobbies would be more enjoyable with specialized lenses.

We offer Zeiss, Varilux®, and Kodak premium lenses designed with digital wave-front technology for "high definition” clarity. Most lens styles can be made with Transitions®, polarization, the best anti-reflective coatings and the thinnest and lightest materials.

COMPUTER GLASSES:

Many of us spend at least a few hours a day sitting in front of a computer or working on hobbies that can cause eye strain.  This happens because the visual demands of computer work are unlike that of other tasks. Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) may result in blurred vision, red and irritated eyes, dry eye, and double vision.  Fortunately, CVS is temporary and can be corrected with proper eyewear.  Computer glasses are different than regular eyeglasses because they are specifically made to reduce the eyestrain that is associated with prolonged computer work.  They have a different focal point because the typical monitor is located approximately 20-24" away and computer glasses often have anti-reflective coating to minimize the glare that comes from light bouncing off the monitor into your eyes.

Not everyone is the same and computer glasses come in different types to meet your individual needs.

Single vision computer lenses can reduce your symptoms of CVS and can be used by people of all ages.

Occupational Progressive lenses are specialized to give multiple zones of clear vision without a line for those who generally need reading glasses.  These are more comfortable to use at the computer than progressive lenses, but are not ideal for distance viewing.  The location of the intermediate and near zones is customized to your specific needs.

Occupational Bifocals and Trifocal lenses are similar to the Occupational Progressive lenses but have a visible line.

WHAT ARE POLARIZED LENSES?

Sunlight reflection bouncing off horizontal surfaces can cause disabling glare.  In addition to causing visual discomfort, it can cause potentially dangerous situations when driving.  Polarized lenses contain a laminated filter that allows only vertical light rays to enter.  This eliminates the horizontal light rays and virtually eliminates glare.

Polarized sunglasses offer the following advantages over non-polarized lenses:

  • Reduces glare
  • Reduces reflections
  • Improves contrast
  • Improves visual clarity
  • Improves visual comfort
  • Reduces eyestrain
  • Allows for better perception of color

Do I need Polarized lenses?

Originally, polarized lenses were used by boaters and fisherman to reduce the glare bouncing off the water.  Today, polarized lenses are found in many popular sunglass brands and can be beneficial for people who drive a lot, are sports enthusiasts, or want better quality vision.

ISCRIPTION - SEE MORE AT NIGHT AND IN LOW LIGHT

We are also proud to offer i.Scription® by ZEISS. i.Scription® is a revolutionary new technology by ZEISS that allows you to see more, even at night and in low light.  Enjoy clearer vision with better contrast.  iScription determines the unique requirements of your eyes with far greater precision than standard methods, resulting in eyeglass lenses more attuned to your vision needs than any other lenses available today.    The i.Scription difference begins with the eye exam.  With i.Scription, your doctor uses the iProfiler visual analyzer to examine more than 2500 reference points within your pupil under multiple low light conditions, allowing detection of potential problems that can impact your nighttime vision. Your doctor takes professional measurements and combines them with the data from the iProfiler.  The result is a more precise prescription that is manufactured with a higher level of level of accuracy than traditional lenses.  This leads to better night vision, better color vision, less glare/halos and better contrast in low light and at night, when the risk of traffic accidents is at its highest.

Our optical department is carefully edited to give you a wide selection of high quality frames that are specifically designed to fit your prescription properly while giving you the comfort and fashion you desire.  Whether your style is classically elegant, fun and funky, sporty, technical or strictly functional, we have the frame for you.

We have options and packages to fit most budgets and accept most major vision plan insurances.  Our knowledgeable opticians are available to help you find the right product to help you see clearly.
